Great ability and a big heart—these are the best qualities of Espoir, who competed at the 1.60m level with Belgian rider Pieter Devos, before being imported to Italy to continue her competitive career.

Among her most important results, we highlight her placings at CSI events in Gent, Oslo, St. Moritz, La Coruna, Gorla Minore, and Knokke.

Her full sister Vanity jumps at 1.60m, and her brother James Bond competes at 1.50m.

Other excellent horses descend from this same maternal line, including the promising 7-year-old Hakuna Matata Z with Italian rider Alessia Costalla, and Miss-Sarajevo, competing at 1.50m.

Now, she enjoys her retirement in the paddocks of Elvo Stables, where she resides and carries out her role as a broodmare for the breeding program.

A direct daughter of Diamant de Semilly x Grannus, she is a mare with a great character and excellent conformation. To optimize her breeding, she should be crossed with modern, blooded stallions that can enhance the performance of her offspring.

Espoir already has one daughter and three grandfoals. In fact, Odysee Van Het Vuldershof, by Cooper van de Heffinck, has produced three beautiful foals with stallions Eldorado, Chacco Blue II, and Zirocco Blue VDL.
