CASH DU PRATEL: TALENT, GENETICS, AND VICTORIES

A Selle Français making his mark on the international show jumping scene:

Cash du Pratel, a 2012 Selle Français gelding, is a horse that stands out for his talent, consistency, and heart in the ring. Discovered at a very young age by Eric Louradour—just like his sisters Ulane de Coquerie and Helena du Pratel—he had a brilliant sporting career under Massimo Grossato. Since 2024, he has been ridden by Giacomo Bassi, forming one of the most promising pairs on the Italian equestrian scene.

In just a few months, this new combination has collected prestigious placings at some of the most competitive international shows, showing strong harmony and ambition. Here are some of their top results together:

🥇 1st place – CSIO3*-W EEF SF Budapest (HUN) – Nations Cup (1.50m)
🥇 1st place – CSIO3*-W EEF SF Budapest (HUN) – Nations Cup Individual (1.50m)
🏆 2nd place – CSIO4* Sopot (POL) – Nations Cup (1.55m)
🥉 3rd place – CSI4* Grand Prix Arezzo (ITA) – Table A + Jump-Off (1.55m)
🥉 3rd place – CSIO4* Sopot (POL) – Nations Cup Individual (1.55m)
🥉 3rd place – CSI3* Grand Prix San Giovanni in Marignano (ITA) – Table A + Jump-Off (1.50m)

🏅 And many other placings in 1.45m to 1.50m Grand Prix classes in Montefalco, Rome, and Arezzo.

What does Giacomo Bassi think of Cash?
“Cash is a horse I’ve been riding for just over six months now. His best qualities are his natural speed and blood, which make him modern and competitive. On top of that, he has scope and carefulness, making him reliable in every class. He’s an essential horse for any professional rider.”
