Rolex Grand Slam – CHI Ginevra: A podium to remember

The 5* equestrian competition in Geneva, a leg of the Rolex Grand Slam of Showjumping, saw Dutch rider Harrie Smolders riding Monaco take first place on the podium, First Grader of the Italian Air Force Giulia Martinengo Marquet with her Delta del’Isle, and in third place Gilles Thomas riding Ermitage Kalone.

A podium that celebrates the talent and dedication of our contributors. Harrie Smolders, riding Monaco, posted an extraordinarily strong performance. Monaco proved to be the fastest of the three, once again confirming the chemistry between Harrie and his horse. Giulia Martinengo Marquet, who took the field with her partner Delta del’Isle, rode the two GP courses flawlessly, giving the audience unforgettable emotions and a show of style praised loudly by the TV commentator. Third place went to young rider Gilles Thomas, riding the phenomenal Ermitage Kalone, a stallion who has been, for a few seasons now, making waves throughout the equestrian scene. A podium we experienced with great excitement and feel very close to us, a testament to the commitment and quality of our partnerships.

We are proud to partner with Harrie and her sister Caroline, Elvo Stallions is the official seed distributor of the stallions they own. Giulia is not only a great horse woman, but together with her husband Stefano Cesaretto they are a key figure in our breeding and sporting activities. We share strategies with them and they closely follow our young horses in their sport careers, contributing significantly to their growth and preparation. Ermitage Kalone, owned by the Stal Nieuwenhof stud farm of which Gilles Thomas is the official rider, is one of the stallions in the Elvo Stallions catalog.
We renew our congratulations to all!
