Fidelgo du Houssoit is an approved stallion for the SBS Studbook. Charismatic, modern, and a highly competitive sport horse.
In the Belgian Championship for young horses (Cycle Classique), he was champion as a 4-year-old in 2015, champion as a 5-year-old in 2016, and ranked 7th as a 6-year-old in 2017.
In his curriculum there are placements in international 1.45m categories
His innate qualities and respect for obstacles allow him to gallop at great speed towards jumps with virtually perfect style! He possesses excellent rideability and has plenty of energy ("blood").
Fidelgo comes from a prestigious Irish dam line, which, in addition to undeniable jumping qualities, also brings the striking pinto coloring of his coat. From the same dam line, we find notable horses such as Artemise du Houssoit (Sherman Sitte), a winner in 1.55m classes; Prima Luna (Ugano Sitte), a winner in 1.50m classes; Danaïde du Houssoit (Ogano Sitte), a winner in 1.40m categories; and the approved stallions Jobolensky Sitte (Cornet Obolensky) and Ice Man du Houssoit (Hunter's Scendro).
His pedigree on the mother side also includes the thoroughbred blood of Ballinvella XX, which produced exceptional horses like Bowriver Queen, a World Cup winner with James Fisher.
FIDELGO has already produced many foals, passing on his phenomenal instincts and excellent jumping technique to his offspring. Two of his oldest progeny are already jumping at the international level, Lagossa Sitte and Monzon Sitte. As 'rising star' we can find Manzana d'Alphi, ridden by the italin rider Filippo Bologni.
