Suo padre Catoki ha prodotto numerosi cavalli da GP e ha saltato ai livelli più alti con Philip Weishaup e Emile Hallundback. Sua madre, Bellaventure Kalone, è una figlia dell’ambasciatore Kannan., Ermitage è il suo primo figlio. Sua nonna Blague du Maury (Veloce de Favi), risale a una delle migliori linee di sangue anglo- arabe. Blague stessa è stata finalista nella categoria riservata ai 6 anni a Fontainebleau. Ha prodotto Vertige Kalone (Berlin) e il famoso Prestige Kalone (Potter du Manou) che compete a 160. Questa linea di sangue rinomata sta dando vita a numerosi cavalli da sport e stalloni approvati, tra cui Fusain du Defey (Phosph’or), Quercus du Maury (Quatar du Plapé), Nuit d’amour de Buissy (Ryon d’Anzex), Kim du Maury (Samuel).
